Pink Friday (Shop Small First Event) & Cookie Crawl

Shopping/dining that evening is open to anyone and everyone! All participating locations will be open until 9pm. However, those shoppers who wish to participate in the Cookie Crawl should purchase a ticket ($5, bought in advance), which gets them a box to collect their treats, and a cookie or treat at each location on the crawl.
Holiday Open House

A long-standing tradition, the Holiday Open House (originally started by Beiter’s, D’s Clothier, and Scott’s Floral) is held annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and allows community members to get a head start on their holiday shopping and decorating.

Welcome Santa Parade & Tree Lighting

Help welcome Santa to Danville during our annual Welcome Santa Parade! Santa will be led into town by the Danville High School Marching Band, the Komotion Dancers, and our area’s fire departments. He will arrive in festive style, via horse-drawn carriage.
The parade will begin from the river end of Mill Street at 6pm. Santa will travel all the way down Mill Street to Route 11. After the parade, he will light the tree in Canal Park and officially open his cottage for the season.
Santa’s Cottage
Fridays & Saturdays Dec 6-21, 2024
Santa will be open at his cottage in Canal Park beginning the evening of December 6th, then on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons through Saturday, December 21st. The hours will vary, and will be posted on Facebook and the DBA website closer to the start of the season.
Hometown Holiday Market

The 3rd Annual Hometown Holiday Market will bring craft & food vendors to Mill Street for a day of festive fun. Please note that Mill Street will be closed to traffic from Route 11 to Mahoning Street a couple hours before, during, and a couple hours after the event.
New to the Market This Year: The Pennsylvania Dinosaurs (decked out in holiday gear) will be visiting with children during the market. Up to 10 dinos will be stationed at various points throughout the market area to interact with children & pose for photos.
Late Shoppers Night

Late Shoppers Night is an evening when our downtown feels like it is straight out of a Hallmark movie. The event provides a dedicated evening with later-than-usual shopping hours for our community to shop local for their holiday gifts.
New This Year: Visitors can stop by Canal Park during the event hours to take a break from shopping and enjoy a screening of the movie White Christmas. Bason Coffee will have hot cocoa and coffee available, the Moose will have their popcorn machine popping, and a local scout troop will be roasting marshmallows for us on the fire pits.

Always eagerly anticipated, the Peppermint Trail Rewards Card rewards shoppers for supporting local this holiday season. Shoppers will collect punches for each $10+ purchase made at participating locations and turn their completed cards in for a chance to win cash prizes.
HOW IT WORKS
Pick up your Peppermint Trail Rewards Card at any participating location
Make a $10+ purchase at a participating business between 11/29-12/20
Collect (6) punches on your card, and turn it in (at any participating location) by 4pm on 12/20
The winners will be drawn at 6pm on 12/20, and contacted via phone the following week
(1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a $500 cash prize, (2) other winners will each receive a $250 cash prize

Yes! You earn a punch for each separate time you visit a participating business between 11/29 and 12/20 and spend $10 or more.

We love your enthusiasm! Yes, you can complete as many cards as you’d like during the promotional period.
The Fine Print
Must be 18 years or older to be eligible. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries submitted. More than one completed entry can be submitted by one person.
